Hey SQL Wizzes - I have some questions regarding connecting to a SQL database from a website. I need to develop a connection from my public webserver to a SQL database on another server for a client. (The database will be behind a firewall but at the moment that is not revelant).
The client then wants to query the data and create reports for his office. He was planning to execute "called procedures" from the website but I am not sure if that is the best way to handle this. First - anybody feel like helping (free advise is great) with the connection. Can anyone point me in a direction. Does anybody do this for a modest fee? Then what is the best way to create and execute queries, etc off the server.
