I am a new user of this mailing list, so I will preface my
current issue with a brief introduction of myself, which may be helpful in the
future. I am a member of Affordable USAWide, and work for Cary
Fitch in various areas of his business. To date that has mostly entailed the
trouble-shooting of hardware and software issues, programming and database
development, and the creation of interfaces with existing software, especially
Rodopi. I have a fairly broad background in retailing, business and accounting,
and have been actively involved in computers and software design from the early
‘80’s. I am proficient in most major languages, though I lack
experience in visual implementations and in the use of the new .Net extensions.
I have a great deal of experience, however, in database design, on various
platforms, and the major thrust of my work in the past few years has been in
SQL databases and their interface via Access and ASP. Now—to my current issue: We have recently added a web accelerator to our product and
services lineup, and I have developed subscription pages that add this plan to
Rodopi, and create subsidiary entries in additional customer information and
log database tables. I have created event scripts that run on a plan’s
suspension, release, and close (delete), that make various database entries
and, as a part of the account status change, makes an additional posting to the
web accelerator company’s customer database. This is a fairly
straight-forward HTTP Post, but the posting is to an HTTPS secure site, which generates
the following error: [12039] A redirect request will change a
non-secure to a secure connection . While procesing HTTP to
"http://subscription.usawide.net:80/TurboBoostUpdate.asp". The pages in question operate correctly when executed
directly from a web browser, and run correctly as a Rodopi event-driven
procedure, right up to the point of execution of the HTTPS post. If anyone has had a similar issue with Rodopi event scripts,
or has any ideas on the resolution of this issue, I would appreciate hearing
from you. Thank You, Charles Sale Affordable USAWide (361) 600-1439 |
