Hi Kais,

I don’t think there are any issues with the SP3 to SP4 upgrade, however you should try to do this whilst Rodopi are open so that if there is an issue with the Licensing you can have them take care of it.

So that you know the issue that occurred was due to the way Rodopi read the MAC address which is incorporated into the license request. You should therefore ensure they are open so that if you have a licensing problem you can have them reset the MAC address.

Regards,

Suneel.

Subject: [Rodopi] Applying SP4 and Patches ??!!
Importance: High

Hello all,

We are running Windows 2000 with SP3, Rodopi 5.3 SP2.10, SQL 2000

I remember that with SP3 we had some major problems with Rodopi due to the issue of changing the way Windows deals with the network card and Rodopi was depending on that feature to identify the server or for licensing issue as I remember.

We are now looking to update the server with SP4 and the latest patches after that.

Any precautions? Any patches that we should not update?

Any assistance is appreciated in this matter.

Regards..
