Subject: [RLUG anunt] java developer
Salut
Cautam un programator Java experimentat care este in stare sa creeze
in timp scurt un editor html care ruleaza in browser.
Goal: To have a WYSIWIG editor window in a web browser
Basic Requirements:
must be cross platform (must run IE 5.5 win32 and mozilla 1.0 linux)
must be easy expandable via programming interfaces (I.e. to add
another
text style, or fetch a URL link from a database, etc)
should not require extensive downloads
WYSIWIG features include: Bold, Italic text, assignment of
(predefined
via programming interface) CSS styles to text, insertion of images,
links
There are quite a few companies out there using such editors written
mainly in java (expand-ability, cross platform)
The editor should have the basic layout like word, i.e. a text edit
screen, a menu and some toolbars with accelerators for text styles,
actions, etc.
There may be a basic starting point at http://openlab.jp/kyasu/ which
does not look bad, is open source and has a
do-everything-what-you-want-but-don't-sue-me license.
Unfortunately this project seems dead, it was last updated 3 years ago,
but perhaps its possible to leverage some of the work done, and aid
development.
Felix
