Problema nu cred ca era in sintaxa comenzii (am incercat cu shutdown
-p now si acelasi rezultat) ci in faptul ca nici ACPI si nici APM nu
reusesc sa imi inchida calculatorul.

din cate imi amintesc nu este recomandat sa dai "halt"
si "reboot"
trebuie sa folosesti "shutdown -r now" -- pt reboot
sau shutdown -h now" -- pt shutdown
