Drogenabhängigen ihre benötigte Menge an Heroin für drei Monate
und in
2008 beschlossen sie, sich im New Yorker MoMA an mehreren
Orten
simultan zu übergeben. Diese und andere Arbeiten machen wwwwww zu
einer
der gewagtesten und kontroversesten Künstlergruppen der letzten
Jahre.
Mit ihrem letzten Werk vom 8. Januar 2011 hat wwwwww wieder
einmal die
Kontroverse unter ihren Kritikern provoziert.
Ist es gerecht, politische und soziale Mittel für ein solches
Kunstwerk
zu benutzen? Sind die Arbeiten von wwwwww überhaupt Kunst?

A GROUP OF ARTISTS BUILDS WITH PUBLIC MONEY A 32 SQUARE
METER BILLBOARD WITH THE WORD "FOOD" BATHED IN GOLD
IN THE WORLD'SPOOREST COUNTRY, THE REPUBLIC OF BURUNDI.
In the middle of a desert plain of Burundi, a 10 meter high pole
holds
up a 4 by 8 meter billboard with the word food in letters of
gold-plated steel. The costs of production of the piece have
exceeded
150 thousand euros. The realization of their works, is
financed
exclusively with public funds obtained through grants and
scholarships.
This group of artists called wwwwww among which is a German artist,
has remained unknown since its birth in 2003. The always
controversial
wwwwww exceeds the limits of the politicaly correct as they did
in 2004
making a totem of Pope Benedict XVI with excrements produced
by its
components. In August 2007 they provided a group of drug
addicts the
necessary heroin consumption for three months and in 2008 they
decided
to simultaneously induce vomiting at several venues in New
York Moma
museum , these and other pieces have made wwwwww one of the most
risky
and controversial artistic groups in the last years. With this
last
piece performed on the 8th of January of 2011, wwwwww once
again
spreads controversy among its most faithfull detractors.
Is it lawful to use political and social tools in favor of a work of
art like this? Are the works of wwwwwww really pieces of art?
