Juni 2012 veranstaltet Morgenvogel Real Estate (Maria-Leena Räihälä und Manuel Bonik) die Morgenvogel-Kirche in der Zionskirche in Berlin Mitte. Ein Teil des Programms ist die dritte Ausgabe des Flying Films Festival, das am Sonntag, dem 1. Juni, stattfindet und wieder ganz dem Thema Fliegen gewidmet ist. Video- und andere Medienkünstler seien hiermit aufgefordert, uns ihre Beobachtungen und Imaginationen von Vögeln, aber etwa auch von Insekten, Wolken, Raketen oder Ufos zu schicken und sie beim FFF zu präsentieren. Unsere Gastkuratoren sind in diesem Jahr Kevin Merz und Lars Künstler. Kevin Merz, geboren 1978, arbeitet als Filmemacher und schuf zahlreiche Dokumentationen und experimentelle Videos. Seine Arbeiten wurde auf zahlreichen internationalen Festivals ausgezeichnet. Lars Künstler ist ein Medien-Designer und Filmemacher. Neben experimentellen Videoarbeiten betätigt er sich auftragsbezogen in den Bereichen Branding, Musikvideo, Werbung und Medieninstallation. Als visueller Part des Medienkollektivs 43Characters beschäftigt er sich mit Stummfilmzerlegung und -Vertonung. Die Videoarbeiten können bis 1. Mai eingereicht werden.
