She practises bookbinding not only for written material, but also as packing for CDs, e.g. for the latest Ghost Flute & Dice release. Presently she is discovering the art and beauty of wrinkles. Monique Recknagel (Sonic Pieces, Berlin) Sonic Pieces is a label dedicated to outstanding current composition and small handcraft edition packing at the same time. The first impression is mostly wrapped in bookbinding technique, but Monique Recknagel is also using silk screen printing and other forms. http://www.sonicpieces.com ::: MUSIK // MUSIC ::: Piano, Kontaktmikrophonie & Effekte Ghost Flute & Dice (Morningside Records, Aarhus/DK) Mikkel Almholt from Aarhus, DK calls his project Ghost Flute & Dice. The music is based on a very funky way to mic up an acoustic piano and running the sound through effect pedals. It's like what guitarists have been doing for a looong time, but with a piano instead.
