SCHIFFER I'll Be Your Model: A Service For You. am Donnerstag, 6. September 2007 um 20 Uhr in der GDK Galerie der Künste Potsdamer Straße 78, Berlin-Tiergarten (U2 Potsdamer Platz, U1 Kurfürstenstraße, Bus M48) 21 Uhr: Gespräch über imaginäre Künstler mit Überraschungsgästen DAS PROJEKT Lara X. Schiffer stellt sich Künstlern als Modell zur Verfügung. Die auf diese Weise entstandenen Werke werden von ihr ausgestellt. Gleichzeitig dokumentiert Lara X. Schiffer diesen Prozess mit einer Videokamera. Lara X. Schiffer versteht sich nicht als Künstlerin, sondern als Dienerin und Moderatorin eines kreativen Prozesses. DIE AUSSTELLUNG Die Ausstellung ist eine Preview auf das Projekt. Ein öffentliches Nachdenken über seine Möglich-keiten und Potenziale. Es werden erste Arbeiten von Künstlern gezeigt, die Lara X. Schiffer portraitiert und inszeniert haben, sowie Video-Dokumentationen des Arbeitsprozesses. Vor allem aber wird die Arbeitsweise des Projekts vorgestellt und seine thematischen und ästhetischen Grundlagen gemein-sam mit dem Publikum weiterentwickelt. Schiffer poses for artists and then exhibits the works that they create. Simultaneously, Lara X. Schiffer documents the process with a video camera. Lara X. Schiffer sees herself not as an artist, but as the servant and moderator of a creative process. THE EXHIBITION The exhibition is a preview of the project, a public reflection on its possibilities and potentials. It will present initial works by artists who have portrayed and "staged" her along with video documentations of the working process.
