Dokumentarfilm- und Videofest (13. - 18. November

In den Screening-Programmen zeigen wir 235
aktuelle Filme und Videos aus 29 Laendern,
darunter ein Drittel Premieren. Rund 150
Regisseur/innen und Kuenstler/innen werden zur
Praesentation und Diskussion ihrer Arbeiten in
Kassel erwartet. Die Ausstellung MONITORING
praesentiert 16 Medieninstallationen aus sieben
Laendern. Die Vernissage findet am 14. November
um 19 Uhr statt. Abgerundet wird das diesjaehrige
Programm durch das Sonderprojekt SPLICE IN, das
die aktuelle Situation in Afghanistan, seinen
Nachbarlaendern und Europa anhand der
Themenfelder Gender und Politik beleuchtet, die
interdisziplinaere Fachtagung interfiction sowie
das audiovisuelle Live-Programm in der DokfestLounge.
Um die drei mit insgesamt 10.000 Euro dotierten
Geldpreise und das A38-Produktions-Stipendium
konkurrieren 67 Arbeiten aus unserem Festivalprogramm.

ausserdem das Akkreditierungsformular, mit dem
Sie sich auch noch direkt am Festival-Counter akkreditieren koennen.
Offline: Der Katalog zum 24. Kasseler
Dokumentarfilm- und Videofest ist in den Kinos
(Filmladen, BALi und GLORIA) erhaeltlich. Gerne
senden wir Ihnen den Katalog (gegen Erstattung des Portos) zu.

The extensive program of this years 24th Kassel
Documentary Film and Video Festival (November 13
to 18, 2007) is online available:
www.filmladen.de/dokfest
235 current films and videos from 29 countries
will be screened within six festival days; among
them one third are premieres. About 150 directors
and artists are expected to attend the festival
for the presentation and discussion of their
works. The exhibition MONITORING presents 16
media installations from 7 countries. The
vernissage takes place on November 14 at 7 pm.
This years program is completed by the special
project SPLICE IN, exploring the current
situation in Afghanistan, its neighboring
countries and Europe by means of the subject
areas gender and politics, the audiovisual live
program in the DokfestLounge as well as the
interdisciplinary conference interfiction.
Altogether 67 contributions out of the program
will compete for the three prizes endowed with
10,000 Euro in prize money and the A38Production Grant Kassel-Halle.
