Masked storytellers, oil smugglers and delicious cooking - Iraqiscope is a platform for films and video clips made in Iraq The reality beyond Baghdads Greenzone, the life of regular people, their culture, their struggles and their visions are hidden from the eyes of the world. TV screens only show scattered fragments of Iraqi reality while general distrust in mass media spread all over the world. Public interest in the Iraqi case decreased drastically. Iraq represents the failure of mass media in raising international awareness and public opinion when it is needed most. Iraqiscope wants to fill this media gap by showcasing video clips, movies and short-films made by Iraqis about their daily life, their culture and their politics. What is on Iraqiscope? -> Home made Clips Iraqiscope allows people to easily upload and share video clips. On Iraqiscope people can see first-hand accounts of current events, made by Iraqis from the inside perspective, and find out about the diverse culture and society from all parts of the country. We see how to prepare Iraqi fish, confessions of masked people and young musicians. -> Film Archive Iraqiscope is an online archive for productions made in Iraq such as documentaries, short films and feature movies.
