ich möchte Sie/Euch auf folgende Kunstausstellung aufmerksam machen:
Contemporary Art Migration Project - Camp Berlin
2. – 10. Februar 2008, 12:00 - 18:00
Eröffnung: 1. Februar 2008, 17 Uhr
Transkulturalität? Nomadismus? Hypertourismus? Oder Migration?
Contemporary Art Migration Project - als CAMP abgekürzt - versucht
diese zentralen Problematiken unserer heutigen Gesellschaft anzugehen.
CAMP Berlin-Hiroshima ist ein Kulturaustauschprojekts zwischen der
Hiroshima City University und der Kunsthochschule Berlin-Weissensee.
Die Ausstellung wird sowohl Kunstwerke von ungefähr 30 Künstlern und
Künstlerinnen, die an den beiden Hochschulen studieren oder studierten
als auch Werke von eingeladenen internationalen Künstler (wie Thomas
Adebahr, Andrea Zimmermann, Yoshiaki Kaihatsu oder Shiro Masuyama)
zeigen.

Das Kunstprojekt ist durch die Erfahrungen von Künstlern, die über
die Staatsgrenzen hinaus agieren und den jeweiligen historischen
Kontexten
dieser Künstler, gekennzeichnet. Migration spielte für die Formierung
des soziologischen Raums sowohl von Berlin als auch von Hiroshima eine
massgebende Rolle. Während in der Zeit vor dem 2. Weltkrieg
Emigranten Hiroshima verlassen haben, um sich in Südamerika oder Hawaii
anzusiedeln, ist die Stadt heute Heimat einer grösseren Anzahl von
Immigranten aus Korea und Brasilien. Die Demographie Berlins veränderte
sich radikal durch sowohl durch die erzwungene Migration vor und nach
dem 2. Weltkrieg als auch durch den Import von Gastarbeitern in der
Nachkriegszeit. Heutzutage leben über 150 Nationalitäten in Berlin.

Es wird jeden Tag ab 15:00 Uhr eine wechselnde, neue Veranstaltung
geben: Geplant sind ein Ess-Projekt 'OKOKEBU' von Natsuyo Kawaoka,
eine Performance 'Endless 0' von Shiho Okinaka, eine Ohanami-
(Blumenschauen)-Fuehrung der Shifun Factory, ein Workshop von
Yoshiaki Kaihatsu, ein "Special" von Gastkuenstler Michihiro
Shimabuku und dazu noch viele Kuenstlergesprarche.

I would like to call attention for the following Art-Exhibition:
Contemporary Art Migration Project - Camp Berlin
2. – 10. February 2008, 12 am - 6 pm
Opening: 1. February 2008, 17:00 (5 pm)
Transculturality? Nomadism? Hypertourism? Or Migration?
Contemporary Art Migration Project – in short, CAMP - seeks to
address such key issues in our contemporary society.
CAMP Berlin–Hiroshima is a cultural exchange project between
Hiroshima City University and The School of Art and Design Berlin-
Weissensee.
The exhibition will feature works by about 30 artists who study or
graduated from these schools and live in Hiroshima or Berlin as well
as works by invited artists, such as
Thomas Adebahr, Andrea Zimmermann, Yoshiaki Kaihatsu or Shiro Masuyama.

The project is constructed around the experiences of artists acting
across national borders and within historical contexts. Migration has
been playing a major role in society's formation of both Hiroshima
and Berlin. While in the period before World War II emigrants left
Hiroshima to South American countries and Hawaii, nowadays the city
is a home to a large number of resident immigrants from Korea and
Brazil. Berlin’s demographic picture changed radically following the
forced migration before and during World War II as well as through
the post-war “import” of guest workers; nowadays the city inhabitants
hold passports of over 150 nationalities.

Sunday, 3rd of Febr., Meeting at 13:00 before the Mainhall-Reception
13:00~ Ohanami-(Watch the cherry blossoms)-guided tour of Shifun Factory
A golden modular-mobile cherry three will be installed in some park
in Berlin. Rituals of the famous japanese
cherry blossom watching will be performed in public. You can
expierence the whole rituals by yourself!
Other Events are squeduled from Sunday 3rd of Feb to Sunday 10th of Feb.
There will be each day from 15:00 on a changing event such as: Eat-
Performance/Installation "OKOKEBU" by Natsuyo Kawaoka, Endless 0 by
Shiho Okinaka, a Workshop by Yoshiaki Kaihatsu
and more events and talks with the artists.

18:30~ Ess-Installation 'Foods for you and you' von Chinami Takahashi
Die Installation/Performance stellt fragen bezüglich der eigenen
Identität im Verhältnis von Nation und Essenskultur: Es gibt Gerichte
die Japaner an Japan erinnern. Es gibt aber auch Gerichte, die
Deutsche an Deutschland erinnern.
19:00~ Lovers' Ceremony 'I am in your blue eyes' von Hiromi + Shige
Fujishiro
Ein Liebespaar, bestehend aus einer Japanerin und einem Schweden,
beide Immigranten in Berlin - wird ewige Liebe und Treue zueinander
vor dem transzendenten Gott schwören. Während dieser Zeromonie werden
die verschieden Rituale wie Trauung, Ringaustausch, Blumenbouquet-
werfen, Kuchenschneiden oder Erinnerungsfoto machen als
Kunstperformance ausgeführt. Dieses Ritual ist der erste Schritt
eines transkulturellen Experiments.

13:00~ O-hanami-(Blumenschauen)-Führung der Shitfun Factory
Ein goldener modular-mobiler Kirschbaum (O-hanami-Kit) wird in einem
Park in Berlin aufgestellt. Rituale des berühmten japanischen
Kirschblüten-Schauens werden in einer öffentlichen Performance
nacherfahrbar gemacht. Mitmachen ist ausdrücklich erwünscht!
Versammlung: 13:00, in der Empfangshalle
15:00~ Ein Workshop von Yoshiaki Kaihatsu
"Lass uns ein Zelt bauen! Dieses Zelt wird unser Berg. Hügelig und
holperig, wir fügen zusammen, gehen hindurch und ruhen uns aus." Es
wird aus alten Kleidern ein Moun-tent, eine Wort-Kombination aus
"mountain" und "tent" (= Berg und Zelt) auf japanisch "Ma-u-n-ten-to"
hergestellt. Die Teilnehmer können ihre eigenen Altkleider mitbringen.
4. Februar (Mo) 2008
15:00~ TALK! TAKE 1!
Die Talk, Take 1 bis 4 Serie ist dazu da, direkt mit den diversen
Künstler in Kontakt zu treten. Die Künstler werden den Zuschauern
ihre Kunstwerke vorstellen und werden für Fragen zur Verfügung stehen.

15:00~ Präsentation: City Idea Exchange Project "ORIZURU Problem"
Während der Vorbereitungsphase von "camp berlin" wurden bis jetzt in
Hiroshima und Berlin vier "Pre-Events" mit dem Thema des "ORIZURU
Problems" organisiert und durchgeführt. Am 6. Februar findet dieses
Projekt einen Abschluss. Im Orizuru-Problem geht es um das Problem
der Überflutung von Hiroshima mit Kranich-Origami-Figuren (= Orizuru).
Der Kranich ist in Japan ein Symbol des Glücks der Langlebigkeit.
Nach alter japanischer Legende bekommt derjenige, der 1000 Origami-
Kraniche faltet, von den Göttern einen Wunsch erfüllt. Heute sind
Origami-Kraniche auch Symbole der Friedensbewegung und des
Widerstandes gegen Atomwaffen. Hiroshima bekommt so jährlich
Abermillionen von Origami-Kraniche geschenkt, deren Aufbewahrung zu
einen jährlich wachsenden Problem wird.
Zum Schluss wird es die Performance 'Endless 0' von Shiho Okinaka, wo
sie unsichtbare Origami-Kraniche falten wird.

15:00~ "OKOKEBU"
Der mittlerweile berlinische "Kebab" (=Döner) und das Gericht
"Okonomiyaki" aus Hiroshima werden zu einem neuen Gericht vermischt
und in dieser Form verkauft. Vielleicht lässt sich durch diese
Neukombination der Kulturaustausch zwischen Hiroshima und Berlin
stärken?
17:00~ O-hanami-(Blumenschauen)-Party mit Shitfun Factory (Nachtversion)
Die Kirschblüten in der Nacht (Yo-zakura) haben wieder einen ganz
anderen Charm als am Tag. In Edo Yoshiwara einem berühmten
Rotlichtbezirk in Alt-Tokio (17. - 18. Jahrhundert) wurden in der
Nacht die Freier von beleuchteten Kirschbäumen angezogen. An dieser
Finnisage möchten die Künstler ein kleines Festbankett veranstalten.
Es wird unter anderem die Dokumentation der zwei Führungen, die
während der Ausstellung stattfanden präsentiert.
**** "Dinge sind nicht immer planbar."
Während der Ausstellungszeit wird es irgendwann irgendwo eine
Veranstaltung vom Gastkünstler Michihiro Shimabuku geben. Bitte
fragen sie die Mitarbeiter der Ausstellung über die Details aus.

There are dishes which let remember Japan for japanese people. There
are dished which let remeber Germany for german people. The
installation raises the question of your own identity in relation of
nation and food culture.
7 p.m ~ Lovers' Ceremony 'I am in your blue eyes' by Hiromi + Shige
Fujishiro
A young couple, one is japanese the other schwedish, both immigrants
in Berlin, will swear fidelity and eternal love to each other in
front of the transcendental god. During this ceremony, several
rituals are going to be performed: Marriage, exchange of rings,
flower bouquet, cake cutting, picture for rememberance. These rituals
are the first steps of a transcultural experiment.

A golden mobile and modular cherry three kit will be installed at a
park in near of the exhibition. Rituals of the famous japanese cherry
blossom watching will be made experienceable by a public art
performance. Everybody can take part!
Meetingpoint: 1 p.m at the reception hall.
3 p.m ~ A workshop by Yoshiaki Kaihatsu
"Let's make a tent. This tent will be our mountain. Hilly and bumpy,
we put together, go through and relax." The mountain or better the
mount - tent will be made from old clothes. Please bring your own old
clothes with you.

The Talk! Take 1 - 4 series forms a platform for contacting the
artists of the exhibition. The participating artists will present
their works and will be here for questions.

3 p.m ~ Presentation: City Idea Exchange Project "ORIZURU Problem"
During the planning phase of "camp berlin" there were already four
"pre events" concerning the "ORIZURU Problem". At the 6th of Feb.
this project will be finished.
The "ORIZURU Problem" is about the issues Hiroshima gets by being
flooded by origami crane figures (=Orizuru).
The crane in japan is a symbol of longevity and immortality. Today
those cranes are a symbol of the peace movement and the resistance
against nuclear weapons. Hiroshima gets thus each year several
millions of origami made cranes, whose storage gets more difficult
from year to year.
At the end there will be a performance 'Endless 0' by Shiho Okinaka.
She will fold invisible origami cranes.

3 p.m ~ "OKOKEBU"
Okokebu is a combination of the in the meantime in Berlin very
popular "Kebop" (=Doener) and the dish "Okonomiyaki" from Hiroshima.
It is a new dish and it will be sold. Maybe the cultural exchange
between Berlin and Hiroshima will be accelerated by "Okokebu"?
5 p.m ~ O-hanami-(watch the cherry blossoms)-Party with Shitfun
Factory (Nightversion)
The cherry blossoms in the night (Yo-zakura) have a different charm
as in the day light. In Edo Yoshiwara a famous former red light
district in Old-Tokyo (17th - 18th century) the customers were much
attracted by illuminated cherry threes. At the closing day Shitfun
Factory would like to do some small party. The documentation of the
two guided tours, which were made during the exhibition will be
presented.

During the exhibition there will be sometime somewhere a event
organized by guest artist Michihiro Shimabuku. Please ask the stuff
for further details.
