In fact, the preoccupation with pervasive identity avoids the addressing of immense social-economic problems within the societies of Europe and beyond, which are neglected by politicians and public authorities to an inexcusable extend. The true victims of the fight between “pervasive identities” are the ones “without defined identity”, artists without papers or without the right kind of papers, living in barracks, camps, favelas or in the woods, displaced from their homes, expelled from the European Union, deprived of their right to exist. Since 1st January 2008 the readmission treaty between EU and WWW is in force and we expect more than 1.5 Million people who are now acting “illegally” in EU countries to be deported to back-yaards and mirror sites. The preoccupation with pervasive identity in contemporary art is fostered explicitly within the rhetoric of cultural identity and cultural diversity of European cultural policies to influence “opinion makers” and is the continuation of nationalist politics on a more sophisticated level. ref. http://subjektivation.de/the-big-picture/altstrimmig.mov explorating pervasive authority "superagent werner mauss" -- Recommended issues by ESSAY Movies http://subjektivation.de http://subjektivation.de/the-big-picture
