Check with Cliff, but I believe that projects will be given a timeframe with which to eliminate LGPL dependencies. It isn't a legal (as in viral) so much as policy issue. We would certainly need appropriate notices, in addition to the Incubator disclaimer. As I understand it, one future direction could be to use JSR 220 as the API, since the Hibernate folks will provide Hibernate as an implementation of the standard. ref: http://www.jcp.org/en/jsr/detail?id=220 --- Noel
