Not all themes have #showRSSAutodiscoveryLink()

I'm trying to add my newly created #showRSDLink() macro to all the 
bundled templates and I was going to add it after 
#showRSSAutodiscoveryLink() wherever it occurred in each theme.

Is there a reason some of the themes don't have #showRSSAutodiscoveryLink()?
If not, should I add #showRSSAutodiscoveryLink() and #showRSDLink() 
before I submit a patch?
