Roller 2.x Japanese?

The reason I've been poking around at the localization stuff is that I'm 
 preparing to work with a translator to update 
ApplicationResources_ja_JP.properties in Roller 2.x to Japanese.

Is there any work-in-progress on an updated 
ApplicationResources_ja_JP.properties that we should know about?
