This might happen if the you're trying to run Roller in unexploded form as a packed .war.

It's possible that your ISP has configured Tomcat so that it is not possible to get the real path where the Roller application lives. I'm not sure why an ISP would do that. You might want to ask your ISP what restrictions they (or Plesk) place on Java web applications. - Dave
