It's not the color patch itself, it's the person doing the patching.
The colour patch won't EVER go in clean unless the mud's 100% stock, but
it WILL go in, and it WILL compile on rom. I know this because I've
repeatedly done this. Again, if you have no clue what you're doing with
code, it's advisable that you don't mess with it. Things can be very
very nasty if you do.
>undefined reference to `send_to_char'
This is telling you that the send_to_char function is not valid, or
defined. Go through the patch, find the function send_to_char and put it
into comm.c, or wherever it's supposed to be.

Now, if you've GOT that function declared in comm.c, or act_comm.c, and
it's STILL giving you errors, but compiling, add the declare for the
function in merc.h.

Subject: Fw: Colour Patches... Evil >_<

Hrmmm... Patched by hand, and now I get the sense that something in
Lope's
patch doesn't agree with ROM... The compiler is getting caught up on
the
do_delete function in act_comm.c

 rom24/src/act_comm.c:83: undefined reference to `send_to_char'

I'm recieving one of those for each call of send_to_char in do_delete.
Hrmmm...
