Good luck there. The other alternative is to find the snippets for color, scan, etc, and try to install them yourself. You CAN do this, however, you might run into problems that are a little complicated to deal with. Buy yourself a good C programming book, or find a decent c reference website online. If you've just downloaded the source code, do yourself a favor and install your favorite version of OLC, before you do ANYTHING else. Olc is the largest patch for Rom, therefore it should be the first installed. If you're new to coding, and you just want the mud up quickly, then I suggest QuickMud. There, you'll find Olc, Colour, a few other things.
