Try downloading another copy of rom and grabbing that? Alternatively, you could use another script. The one I've been using for the past two years can be found in the D.R. web page (http://drealms.kyndig.com). I take no credit for it, because I didn't write it, but I modified it well enough to be understandable, and added a cron example in there as well, so that the mud is checked every few minutes, and if not up, it's restarted.
