Personally, i think it'd be more logical to store it in ROOM_INDEX_DATA cuz tracks would be a room event. And, I think it'd be easier to set the deteriation of the tracks in the room than the exits. Have you thought about ppl walking in, let's say for example, walks out of a room headed east, then a few hours later(mud hours of course) that same player walks in from the south and heads north. Have you thought about the player who's doing the hunting to be able to eventually(as they get better at tracking) to distinguis between the fresher tracks? Just a thought I had about it :) Rheede
