Depends on the kind of music you're listening to. For example, house often has a high number of beats per minute (say 180), so it will have 3 beats per second. And with quiet music, like Enya, you won't hear any beats at all, but still I would put it on 15 beats per minute, so that would be .25 beats per second. If this doesn't help, grep for PULSE in *.h and you'll find out how the time in the mud is related to the time in your life.
