There aren't any "real" area builders for ROM other than OLC. But I'm
guessing u r talkin about "Offline" builders, not "Online". Reason there
aren't many "offline" builders for rom is because there are so many
variations of the area files because of what each designer has done. So,
finding an offline builder for rom is vary rare. There is one, I think it's
called Faerie or something like that. There's another that I can't think of,
too.

I am currently working on an offline builder that will allow the
reading/writing of "most" rom based, or even other mud server area files.
I'm still in the design stage of it, though. When I am ready for beta
testers, I will ask publicly for them. But that's a long ways from now, at
least, for now, anyways.

Subject: area builder

Hi. I'm new to this list (and to mud coding) and I was wondering if any
of you fine people could help me out. I've been looking around for an
area editor/builder for my new rom2.4 mud, but to no avail. I'd prefer
something that can run on Linux or Mac, but any would do at this point.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
