I dont know what you're doing to cause so many problems with your source
code, but we didn't have even a quarter of them when we ported our mud
over to cygwin OR vc++ a number of years ago.

As for your latest problem, we can't see your code and we don't know what
exactly is happening, so it's a little tough to answer your questions. For
all I know, your character(s) have prompts turned off in the game, and all
it takes for them to fix it is simply typing 'prompt' in-game.

If you don't want to post code and things like that, then I suggest adding
some bug() lines throughout the functions to see what they're doing and
where they are dying. Once you find where the problem is, just take
them back out. Doing that has saved my rear more times than I'd like to
count.
