I have them installed and believe that they're a good idea. My builders
were using mobs with no short/long descriptions to simulate room programs
before, but on using the 'scan' command, players would see: ", nearby to
the west." Room programs are used for everything from custom randomly hit
deathtraps to adding "sound" affects to places ("A huge explosion
reverberates through the air!") Object programs also assist in things like
blessed/cursed fountains, guild equipment, and many other things.
As for a snippet, check out the ones on Kyndig's site. I couldn't use that
one straight as-is since my code base is rather touchy, but it has some
good ideas on how to combine the triggers.
