Awhile back, somebody (I don't remember who) was looking for a DNS forwarder as an alternative to dns2go. If you're still looking, you might want to try http://www.ods.org - their basic service is free though they do offer the option of paying $20 a year for a private DNS or $10 a year for a secondary DNS as backup for your public account. This service works for windows, unix, and mac. Hope this helps.
