Edwin has not posted anything since his "So long and thanks for the fish" email.
It reads as follows: -=-= Start Edwin email =-=- So long and thanks for the fish, I'm gong to spend my time on other things. I've always had a great time with mudding and Rom/Merc/Diku muds in general (except for the fact that I reached hero-level three days before they moved from the rom1-server to the rom2-server. Could be that it was merc1 to merc2 also, it was anywhere in July 1993). I've learned a lot, mostly by trial-and-error and help of friends. I've explored strange worlds (trying to compile Diku on a Sun-68020 helps a lot later on when you try to get it working under OS/2) and even found resemblances between the way Rom/Merc/Diku was coded and when I saw the kernel-programming course by Kirk McKusick :-) Why quitting with all my experience? Right now, I'm at a phase where I've done everything, the only thing missing is glueing it together and create a new clean codebase. But that's not what I want to do :-) Anyway, shouts to everybody (included but not limited to dingo, sandi, dominion, ammaross, kyndig, blusky, erwin, jason, peter, aria[<- that's not her real name, but I forgot what it really was. I still want your Sun :-)] #rom and the old folks brian and russ). Thanks guys, it was great!
