The problem is act needs a character to expand arguments, so it can account
for things like invisibility. It will take considerable rewriting of act to
expand args without a character and pass those to the room prog.

I am using the Room / Object progs snippet from Ralgha and I'm
having a small problem.
Instead of the p_act_trigger getting the correct argument from act_new
its getting something different.
It should be getting:
Thalor opens a gold chest.
When I snoop with GDB it is showing me that it is passing:
$n opens $p
How can I get it to pass the output (Thalor opens a gold chest) and not
the literal translation of act_new($n opens $p)?
