Not to start an argument here, but yeah, it was..
Previous to my email, it was using char *spouse; rather than CHAR_DATA
*spouse;
I switched to CD because I thought it might solve the problem somehow.. 
When all the crap errors came up with CD I started hunting for fixes and
whatnot. When that failed, I turned to the list.. 
Now that I know what I was doing wrong (I think -- assigning the
pointers wrong, instead of using str_dup), I'll go back to the way
things were before I switched, then convert it all to str_dup where
appropriate.
