Not nessicaraly.. The descriptor numbers are shared between all open "files".
Typically descriptor 0 will be stdin, 1 will be stdout, 2 will be stderr, if
you open an fpreserve it will be 3, and so on. If you are at 6 when you just
boot up the mud you may have opened a few files or something in the boot up
process that you forgot to close.. That might explain how you got up to 6 right
away.
