Being what i've heard of IMC, exploits, bugs, violations, etc. It would be great for someone to write such a code that is "secure". I agree with you on the "too much work" comments kind of conflicting, but unless you use IMC, i wouldn't suggest you advise others to.

Umm, hello, you want to take something that's been written, and say it's
too much work to go through, yet you'll rewrite your own bit of code?
Talk about redundancy here..

Your best bet for that is IMC (and no, it's not THAT hard to add to your
mud), but if ALL  you want is an inter-port chat, well, that's a bit
much work to do there then (even creating your own custom code is too
much work for that).

best bet: require people to be on both ports, or use notes..
