Thanks for the quick reply..

chmod 700 startup.dat seemed to be accepted ok as no error or replys but
when I type ./startup.dat& it says No such file or directory when I am in
the src file and can see the startup.dat. However there is an * right after
startup.dat for some reason. I dunno if that means anything...
