To whom it may concern, Speaking as the newest guy here I can see why you guys may get upset answering the same questions over and over. I did not see nor have found any archive otherwise I would have read throught it by now, I would be happy for someone to give me the link. As I have stated before I have been mudding for years and know my way around ack very well but I decided to take a jump to ROM per this Mud I liked was going down for good. So I thought I could get it running and then I can learn all I can about rom before making any changes. But as per my clueless emails you can see that I have not even been able to run the damn thing yet. Which is quite discouraging. However I will keep working at it while learning all I can. For the most part everyone that answered my post were friendly and helpfull there were a couple that were a bit sarcastic but I can accept that and apprieciate all the help I do get. I don't want people to "hold" my hand but I would apprieciate a helping hand.
Brian P.S. I am an extremely fast learner and am learning C right now. If any friendly knowledgeable people out there would like to be a mentor.... I am the perfect student! That said I'm gonna take a hammer to my motherboard! j/k ----- Original Message ----- From: "Tom Whiting" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Friday, January 04, 2002 9:51 PM Subject: RE: Changed my mind > >>> People being bashed for asking a question on a HELP group. > > Generally, those people are the ones that don't follow the basic > instructions, given on the footers of the mailing list.
