Intern - Project Officer, (M/F, Part-time) The Academic Training Association (ATA) is looking for an inter - Project Officer. Most of the officer's tasks and responsibilities will be fulfilled under the International Winter University in Macedonia 2005. The intern-project officer is stationed at the Amsterdam office. The officer is available for work visits of of 3-4 weeks to our field office in Skopje. Through various kinds of academic support projects, ATA contributes to the restructuring and reform of universities, and thus to processes of transition and reconstruction underway in post conflict societies. Previous ATA projects have included summer universities, students and staff exchanges, English language programmes, and needs-assessments at universities mainly in the Balkans. Our goal is to improve the quality of higher education and to encourage cross-regional and international long term academic cooperation and harmonisation. Main tasks & responsibilities Assist in student administration for non SEE students; Assist in the promotion of the project; Assist in purchasing and preparing reading material and teaching equipment; Organising recreational programmes; Assist in project evaluation; Prepare and facilitate sessions & meetings; Assist project managers on practical matters related to their tasks and responsibilities. Requirements & assets: Organisational skills; Good to excellent oral and written language skills in English and Dutch; Good communication and social skills and able to work in a multicultural setting; Proven interested in Southeast Europe/Balkans, higher education, or development cooperation; Good team worker while able to work independently. ATA offers: Minimal 20 hours/week contract; Remuneration of 175 to 350 Euro/month (net); Training on project proposal writing and project organisation (internal); International working environment; More information on www.academictraining.org.
