IIASA's Young Scientists Summer Program (YSSP) offers summer research opportunities to advanced students whose interests correspond with IIASA's ongoing research on issues of sustainability and the human dimensions of global change, and on methods for dealing with these complex issues. Most YSSP scholarships are fully funded by one of the National Member Organizations.

From the beginning of June until the end of August, participants in IIASA's YSSP work within IIASA's Research Programs under the guidance of senior scientists. The program provides a unique opportunity for participants to acquire international experience, enhance their own research skills, and become part of a worldwide network of specialists with broad interdisciplinary and cross-cultural perspectives.
