ORBN: 'WE DO NOT REPRESENT OUR INTERESTS'
2005. janur 27. 10:12

MNO
Yesterday in Brussels Viktor Orbn, chairman of Fidesz held a press
briefing about the achievements of the present Hungarian government,
calling the past years 'idled away' claiming that Budapest did not
represent its interests in a proper way.

According to Mr Orbn this has resulted in a situation similar to
that of Romania. He said the most important issue was to enhance
employment because Europe could not compete if there were people who
could not work. He also referred to the demographical problems of the
European Union and said the EU sources should help Hungary in
enhancing its competitiveness, productivity, and the rise of the
standard of living. He criticized the blunders and the uncertainty of
the government in the true representation of the interests of the
country and he said it was most unfortunate that the past three years
had been 'idled away'. 'The years between 2007 and 2013 will be
crucial for Hungary', he said, adding that the demographical problems
should be solved not by immigration but by more childbirths.
