Migrant workers is the current focus. My aim is to find up-to-date figures
on employment in the Moldova region bordering Moldavia.
Questions to which I am seeking a response are as follows -An accurate estimate of the population in this region -What is the state of employment/unemployment -Typically what jobs are available -What protection from the poverty trap currently exists -Average salary expectations -What are the estimated numbers of migrant workers to foreign countries, EU, US, other? -Estimations on how many people in Romania-Moldova are supported by one migrant worker -What sanctions, if any, are taken by the government against illegal migrant workers who are forcibly returned to Romania (passport confiscation, withholding visas, evictions). -Do any migrant workers return to set up businesses in the region or the country? -Are there any signs that the recently elected government has improved the job, welfare, enterprise, civic rights situation?
