The successful candidate will have: 1) A track record of human rights and anti-discrimination experience or demonstrated interest; 2) Litigation interest and understanding of the legal systems and human rights/anti-discrimination legislation in Central, Eastern and South-Eastern Europe and the CIS; 3) A demonstrated capacity to develop and apply successfully innovative legal strategies; 4) Excellent English language legal writing skills, and fluency in both written and spoken English, and good working knowledge of at least one other language of the CEE/NIS region; 5) The ability to work in a team atmosphere. Membership of a bar association in a Council of Europe Member State preferred. Prior work or other experience with Romani communities is a distinct advantage.
