Hello Everybody From Turkey
Today, among the sports branches soccer is the most widespread and popular one. Because of its characteristics, soccer has been thought as a men sports for a long time. Those who think that football is for only men say that women�s social, psyhological and physicological structure is not suitable for football. In fact this thought arises from the conservatism and traditions of the community for the roles of the men and women. During the studies about women soccer, it is understood that psyhological , physicological and social structure do not constitute any problems.
There are not any women clup about football and also there are not any school program about it in Turkey.On the other hand,TV and mass media do not give their attention about this topic.In addition that there are not women player to take youngers attention on theirselves so this situation is a barrier to develop and expand among women in Turkey.
We want to make a project about football including comenius 1.3 �school developing in Socrates program and our project is called �Girls, Let�s Play Football�. The most important feature we are looking for in other schools is that those schools must have a football team consisting of girls and there must not be an impediment in their country�s education program about girl�s football.
As I mentioned before soccer is not very popular among girls in Turkey. This results from several social and cultural effects. For us, the most important problem is that there are not any competitions about girl�s soccer in sportive activities in primary and secondary schools.
Our score to prepare this project is to make analysis the model applied in Europen�s education system. As a result of this, by convincing ministery of education and football federasion of Turkey to make amendements in the girl football, in which it is aimed to constitute a football branch played in schools and make football popular among girls. The most important criterion we are searching in other partner school is ; enough equipment about girl football in addition that each attended person must give enough support to project.
We want to create technic, physolopy and training samples about girl football education �Girls,Let�s play Football� project. And also to turn these into book, brochure and a web site.
