DUTIES AND
RESPONSIBILITIES
Under the supervision of the Director, CASD in
Registry, the incumbent will be responsible for the implementation, coordination
and organization of ICC field offices and activities.
He/she will:
•
Develop concepts, draft guidelines and procedures, reports and correspondence to
the overall field office activities and plans on a wide range of issues and
ensure that all relevant ICC rules and regulations are adhered to;
•
Coordinate with appropriate sections for timely provision of inputs, personnel,
equipment and supplies for field activities and provide overall technical,
administrative and operational support ;
• Assist the Division of Court
Services, the Division of Victims and Counsel and the Public Information and
Documentation Section in their field activities;
• Coordinate the Registry
field activities with the Office of the Prosecutor;
• Liaise with technical
and operating teams within the ICC, monitor field activities and ensure that
appropriate action is taken in a timely manner by responsible units;
• Lead
and/or participate in regional and country missions;
• Liaise with local
authorities, international organizations or other parties on behalf of the
Director, CASD and represent the ICC Registry at regular meetings;
•
Undertake evaluation of administrative support provided to the various field
activities;
• Undertake preparation of specific field projects, as
appropriate and perform other related duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
• Advanced
University degree (Masters Degree) in Business or Public Administration, Human
Resources Management, Finance, Accounting, Law, or related fields.
• At
least 10 years of relevant experience (12 years with a BA);
• Prior
experience within a field operational support or field mission environment
including. Experience in handling complex organizational issues at the
international level.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills;
•
Demonstrated planning and organisational skills;
• Ability to work under
stressful conditions and time constraint;
• Good sense of judgement, ability
to make quick decisions;
• Flexibility and initiative, demonstrated ability
to be proactive and resourceful.
• Ability to work in a non-discriminatory
manner, with respect for diversity.
• Professional and personal
integrity.
KNOWLEDGE OF
LANGUAGES
Fluency in either of the working languages of the Court,
English or French, is essential. Working knowledge of the other is desirable.
Knowledge of another official language of the Court would be considered an
asset. (Arabic, Chinese, Russian, Spanish)
