CALL FOR PAPERS "The Consequences of EU Enlargement into Southeastern Europe" Special Issue of the Journal of Political and Military Sociology (JPMS) Victor Roudometof, Special Guest Editor In the aftermath of the May 2004 enlargement into Eastern Europe, Southeastern Europe constitutes the next target for EU enlargement. The roster of tentative EU members includes Croatia, Romania, Bulgaria, Turkey and Cyprus, with the western Balkans looming into the background. The prospects of EU enlargement have already influenced or are expected to modify the developmental trajectories and the internal and external politics of several of the aforementioned countries. With this general frame of reference in mind, contributions are sought for a special issue of JPMS on the consequences of EU Enlargement into Southeastern Europe, to appear in print in the Winter 2006 issue of the journal. The papers should focus on one or (preferably) more countries. Ideally, they should be comparative in nature. All papers should be approximately 6,000 words, inclusive of references, and should abide by the journal's reference style.
