DEAR COLLEAGUES,
We, Ýsmet Ýnönü Anatolian Vocational and Girl's
Vocational High School (Ýsmet Ýnönü Anadolu Meslek ve
Kýz Meslek Lisesi), are located in Manisa,Turkey. Our
school has been designated as a pilot institution for
SVET (MEGEP) -Strengthening the Vocational Education
and Training in Turkey) project.

SVET is a five-year project resulting from an
agreement signed between the European Commission and
the Government of Turkey. The project aims at
strengthening Turkey 's vocational education and
training system.. Turkey 's international trade, its
political ambitions for joining the EU, and its
promotion of domestic and international investments
give the project an urgent international dimension.
We are looking for a partner school for the
implementation of the above-mentioned project.
Currently, we have two different fields related to
SVET project:
Field 1: Food and Beverage Services – Branch: Cookery
and pastry cookery
We are planning to share our knowledge and experience
with you regarding Turkish & Mediterranean cuisine
which has a long history commencing from Ottoman
Empire with its ingredients, cooking techniques,
confectioneries, sauces and additives. By visiting
your school, we will have the opportunity both to
accomplish the above-mentioned aim and also to learn
about your own cuisine too.
Field 2: Clothing Production Technology – Branch:
model machine mechanic for Ready-to-wear Industry
Our aim is to share with you the applications in
Turkey regarding ready-to wear industry such as
design, woven and leather ready-to-wear clothes and
the accessories utilized with you . During our visit,
we will have the chance to compare the applications in
our country and in your country, which may in turn
lead to better applications in the textile industry.
Also, the participants of the project will have the
opportunity to improve their language skills. They
will have a better understanding of quality and
understanding of being a European. We believe that the
cultural interaction will be of benefit for both
sides, namely for our school and for our sister
school.
Although the project covers the male and female
students, our school is mostly consisted of female
students. Such a project will help our female students
in becoming more qualified. This, in turn, will help
their employability. In fact, SVET also aims at
reducing the sex discrimination that is present at
occupational life on a national basis in Turkey.
Besides the occupational sharing .We would highly
appreciate to share the historical and natural
beauties of our city , namely Manisa , which is 30 kms
away from Aegean sea and Ýzmir and if you would like
to visit our school we shall provide accommodation and
meals for you .
As a conclusion, we are looking for a sister school
for the implementation of the above-mentioned project.
