, Ecological - Cultural Association ZIARNO,
Poland, was organised the Tematic Seminar:
,, EDUCATION FOR SUSTAINABILITY- BUILDING A
FUTURE FOR RURAL EUROPE'' - Thematic Seminar within Socrates - Grundtvig 4
programme to promote a network of Rural Sustainable Development Education
Centres in Europe.
This Semiana was organised in partnerschip
with:
- Field Studies Council from Great Britain,
St Sheelan Colege from Ireland, ANJAF from
Portugal, Institute for Sustainable Development from Slovenia, Warsaw
Agriculture University from Poland and more partners.
The Sponsors from this event was:
EUROPEAN COMMISION OF
SOCRATES- GRUNDTVIG PROGRAMME, SOROS FOUNDATION, EAST-EAST PROGRAMME, ASHOKA
INNOVATORS FOR THE PUBLIC, NATIONAL ENVIRONMENTAL FUND AND MARSHAL OFFICE OF
MAZOVIA.
The main point of discussion was:
- Need analysis to the vision of the
future;
- The future of rural landscape in
Europe;
- Waste management- a nightmare of countryside or
possible source of income;
- Folkhighsool courses as a form of education for
sustainability;
- Organic Farming and it's role in building
sustainability of countryside.
