Dear future partners,
I would like to inform the group members for our search of partners
for a grundtvig 2 Learning partnership project. The Turkish partners
are all national teacher unions' in the Izmir region. We would like to
prepare a visit program to see the unions on site. We will then create
a common european (at least our partners') union profile including
good practices we have, areas of development we need etc. As a follow
up activity a grundgvig 3 course for union members and managers within
education community can be prepared.
Our city is in the western part of Turkey by the Aegean sea. It has an
international airport and a teacher population of 31,600. The city is
the third largest city in Turkey. Last summer we hosted Universiade
2005 university games. Every year the city hosts an international
fair, too. City is also at a central location to many historical sites
like Ephesos, Virgin Mary etc.
We have no country limits so anyone interested in the project title is
welcome be it they are a teacher union within the EU.
