Subject: Call for applications: Curriculum development workshop

Call for applications: Curriculum development workshop

A 5-day workshop in the first week of April 2006, focusing on
developing and teaching new courses on corruption and anti-corruption.

FUNDING IS AVAILABLE TO PARTICIPANTS FROM CEE/FSU.

"Designing and teaching courses on corruption and anti-corruption" 3 -
7 April 2006 Central European University, Budapest

The workshop is a "Course innovation session", offered by the
Curriculum Resource Center (CRC) and the Center for Policy Studies of
CEU in partnership with Tiri, a Pro-Integrity Policy Network based in
London.

As the title suggests, the workshop is intended for university
lecturers and focuses on developing and teaching new courses on
corruption and anti-corruption or more broadly transparency.

The workshop is a mixture of general teaching skills and curriculum
design sessions as well as subject specific sessions devoted to courses
on transparency per se.

The latter involves reviewing 'best pract
 ice'
(courses currently taught) and discussions on various challenges
university lecturers face when developing and introducing courses of
their own.

Participants apply with a draft syllabus as well as CVs and letters of
endorsement from their institutions (confirming that the
university/college in question is willing to introduce the course).

Selected faculty from Central and Eastern Europe and the former Soviet
Union get funding for travel and accommodation in Budapest, while other
participants cover their own expenses.

Extended application deadline: March 2, 2006 Information on
eligibility, applications and funding:
