DRAMA SUMMER CAMP 2006
SECOND EDITION OF THIS EDAR EVENT
July 9 16, 16-23: Margineanca Camp - Targoviste
TOGETHER WE BUILD ON ATTITUDES
The summer drama camp is located near Targoviste, at
Margineanca Camp with participating students from all
over the country. This camp will hold courses for
students ages 15 18 who are interested in developing
good communication skills. The team of instructors
includes ten British students from Performing Arts
Department, Chester University, UK and their
professor, senior lecturer Jane Loudon. Forty students
from all over the country will be accepted to
participate in the camp.
The cost is 340 RON for seven days which will include
food, accommodation, drama and English training,
evening activities, trips and access to facilities
(swimming pool and fitness equipment). There will be
emphasis on interactive activities, expressing points
of view, cultural exchanges and building on attitudes.
Participants will be given certificates of attendance.
Successful applicants - announced by May 15, 2006 -
will have to send the money to EDAR bank account
opened at BRD Brasov COD IBAN
RO82BRDE080SV05870670800 by May 25. Travel to and
from the camp will be covered by the students.
AIMS
Give students outlet for creativity, ingenuity,
imagination and performance
For students to learn a variety of drama skills and
activities
For students working collaboratively to create drama
from both traditional and non-traditional sources
For students to gain skills which can be transferred
to many other subjects in their basic education
To help raise self-esteem, self-_expression_, and
teamwork
For students to learn the value of responsibility,
trust and teamwork
To create an audience for local artisans in the
future.
To help strengthen their abilities in written and
spoken English and fluency.
To develop individual and social communication
skills.
