B92: Nothing Could Prevent
Membership of Bulgaria and Romania at the EU Now

Brussels. Bulgaria and Romania will
become EU member states on 1st January 2007, the EU Commissioner for Enterprise
and Industry Gunther Verheugen announced, Serbian Radio B92 reports.
“The
process on decision making in the EU has ended. Bulgaria and Romania will become
EU member states on 1st January”, Verheugen announced. He is considered as the
architect on enlargement of the EU in East. It is expected for the majority of
MPs at the European Parliament to support the membership of the Balkans
states.
Verheugen added that Romania and Bulgaria have reached
considerable progress and added that in this phase nothing could prevent their
membership in the EU.
