Dear Sir/Madam,
The European Institute of Public Administration (EIPA) is pleased to announce a new forthcoming seminar called “Implementing the New Structural Funds Regulations”. This seminar will take place in Maastricht, the Netherlands, on 27-28 November 2006 and will be conducted in English.
The aim of the seminar is to examine in detail the changes to the regulations and the implications for Managing Authorities, project managers and other actors. Key elements will include: preparing the new National Strategic Reference Framework, programme rules and finance, financial management, financial control and audit, changes to the publicity and information rules, and the new state aid rules for regional assistance. There will also be a workshop on indicator requirements and the question of measuring programme progress and success.
The seminar is aimed at all economic actors in the Structural Funds policy and implementation process, including national, regional and local officials and representatives; agencies with an economic development role, such as regional development agencies; educational and training establishments; and other local partners, including NGOs and community associations.
Please find enclosed the provisional programme, general information and the registration form. We would be most grateful if you could circulate this information among any other persons who may be interested in this seminar.
Further and up-to-date information on this seminar can also be found on EIPA’s website [http://www.eipa.nl – Click on ‘Training and Research’].
