Europa de Vest e una din zonele cu cele mai mari aglomerari pe km patrat. Asa fu si acu-s 60 de ani. In plus, in Europa centrala si de Vest exista somaj endemic. In continua crestere - din cauza automatizarii si din cauza disparitiei industriilor traditionale pe fundalul noii "diviziuni a muncii" zisa globalizare/mondializare.
