ICCP International Camp Counselor Program a fost initiat in 1959 de catre YMCA din SUA si este un program de schimb educational recunoscut de Guvernul SUA. Acest program pentru tinerii din peste 75 de tari se desfasoara pe toata durata verii in peste 600 de tabere din SUA. Cui se adreseaza: Acest program se adreseaza tinerilor cu varste intre 19-30 ani, ce cunosc limba engleza, au abilitati de lideri si iubesc munca cu copiii. Durata programului: Participanti vor sta in tabara intre 10 si 12 saptamani. Dupa terminarea programului participantul are posibilitatea de a lucra in continuare in aceeasi tabara pana la terminarea perioadei de viza - 4 luni ? sau poate calatori pe teritoriul SUA. Tipul de viza ce se acorda de catre Sectia Consulara a Ambasadei SUA pentru participantii la acest program este DS 2019 ? viza cu drept de lucru pe o perioada de 4 luni plus o luna de gratie, timp in care poti ramane in SUA dar nu mai ai drept de lucru. Date de sosire in SUA: intre 11 Mai- 22 Iunie Aceste date sunt fixate in principiu dar participantii pot pleca chiar mai devreme in cazul celor care nu sunt studenti. Costuri Taxa de participare: 280 $ Rezultate Acest program va ofera posibilitatea de a va dezvolta capacitatea de comunicare in limba engleza, capacitatea de lucru cu copiii in activitati indoor sau outdoor, cunoasterea modului de lucru in taberele YMCA din SUA si posibilitatea de a experimenta realitatea americana. Pentru cei care au participat deja la acest program prin YMCA Universitaria taxa de program este de 50 USD. 2. SUMMER WORK&TRAVEL Programul Work & Travel ofera studentilor posibilitatea de a munci si calatori in SUA pe perioada vacantei de vara. Programul Work& Travel este cel mai accesibil mod de a petrece 4 luni in Statele Unite. Viza J-1 va da dreptul legal de a munci pe teritoriul SUA avand aceleasi drepturi ca orice angajat american pe o perioada de 4 luni. In functie de disponibilitatea ta de a munci poti avea legal mai multe slujbe cu conditia sa iti respecti contractul de munca initial. Cui se adreseaza: Acest program se adreseaza studentilor la zi in an de studiu intermediar si studentilor inscrisi la master, cunoscatori ai limbii engleze. Incepand cu anul acesta programul este deschis si studentilor incadrati in primul an de studiu. Conditia pe care trebuie sa o indeplineasca acestia este obtinerea minimum a mediei 9 in urma primei sesiuni de examene. Durata programului: Participanti vor sta in SUA pe toata durata contractului pana la maxim 4 luni. Pot calatori dupa terminarea programului pe teritoriul SUA, avand viza (DS-2019) pe 4 luni (viza temporara de lucru) plus inca o luna fara drept de munca. Tipuri de aplicatii 1.Full Arrange (FA) Programul Full Arrange ofera paticipantilor o singura slujba care in general include cazare dinainte stabilita la un pret rezonabil (sau in cazuri speciale asistenta in gasirea cazarii). Tipuri de joburi: Housekeeping, Kitchen Help, Maintenance, Sales Help, Amusement Park Work, Special Request Jobs etc 2.Self Arrange (SA) Programul Self-Arranged permite studentilor sa vina cu propria oferta de munca. Vor fi contactati angajatorii in vederea confirmarii ofertei de lucru. Aceasta trebuie sa contina date complete privind numele companiei, adresa, telefon, numarul de ore de munca si salariul, tipul de slujba, informatii despre cazare, durata contractului de munca(pe durata vacantei legale din Romania). Oferta trebuie completata pe un formular tip Empoyment Agreement Form. Costuri Taxa de participare: 385$ pentru SA si 530$ pentru FA Rezultate Acest program va ofera posibilitatea de a va dezvolta capacitatea de comunicare in limba engleza, cunoasterea modului de lucru din SUA, o posibilitate de a experimenta realitatea americana si nu in ultimul rand posibilitatea de a castiga sume semnificative de bani. 3. Lifeguard Program YMCA Lifeguard Program in New York City Come to New York City and join a team of skilled lifeguards who safeguard 14 miles of ocean beach and 52 outdoor swimming pools. YMCA UNIVERSITARIA offers you an opportunity to come to New York City and take part in this program. Our lifeguards return year after year because of the skills they develop, the contacts they make, the chances for upward mobility, and most importantly, because of the gratification they feel saving lives. Training/Test in New York City: Mid-May Start/End Dates: 5/25-9/3/07 Starting Salary: $11.75/hour (Room/Board not included) Application Deadline: December 23, 2006 YMCA UNIVERSITARIA is recruiting 500 life guards to work in New York City! How is this different? These participants will not be placed at summer camps. They will work in New York City at the swimming pools throughout the city and at the public beaches. The Criteria is very high, therefore we need to target swimming clubs, Physical Education students, Red Cross, etc for this program. To qualify for the 40 hour Training Program applicants must: Be at least 18 years of age Communicate effectively in English Have 20/30 vision in one eye and 20/40 in the other, both uncorrected Swim 50 yards in 35 seconds or less. Once we have a strong pool (no pun intended) of applicants (minimum 20) for the program YMCA-ICCP will send the trainer to Romania to prescreen the candidates. If the candidates pass they will come to New York in Mid-May for a rigorous training course of 5-10 days. Upon successful completion of the training course the life guards will be placed throughout the city. ICCP will work to find accommodations at YMCA facilities at a discounted rate. Life Guards will be paid an hourly wage of $11.75/hour. On average they will work 48 hours/week (6 days/week). Room/board is not included. They will be paid for the days during training. Important: Candidates should note that it will take a few weeks for their first paycheck to be issued due to payroll issues. All life guards should have enough pocket money to sustain themselves in the city for 3-4 weeks. The Application Fee to YMCA UNIVERSITARIA is $800.
